Collier is pleased to announce Theodore Stieglitz, Sr. Geophysicist, as the newest member of the Collier team. Ted has over 25 years of experience as an oil and gas exploration geophysicist.
Ted began his career in environmental geophysics and transitioned to oil and gas after pursuing his PhD at Rice University. He has experience in a variety of R&D, business development and operational roles working for both the oil and gas industries and for seismic vendors, including the Hess Corporation, Spectrum Geo, EMGS, Veritas and ION. Ted is an expert in depth imaging and model building. He has broad 2D and 3D experience supporting several world class seismic libraries spanning numerous basins around the world. He believes strongly in the holistic integration of the Earth model through data acquisition, imaging and interpretation. He was a founding partner of Agile Seismic LP and has served as a consultant to many domestic and international clients.
Ted is a member of the Geophysical Society of Houston and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists where he actively serves on the SEG Finance Committee. He is licensed to practice in the State of Texas.

Collier Consulting is pleased to announce that Kenny Weldon, Senior Director of Government Programs, as the newest member of the Collier team. Kenny has 36 years of results-oriented leadership experience in facility life cycle planning, environmental management, and government systems.
Kenny’s experience includes executive-level positions in government, higher education, and the private sector.
He retired from active duty, as a Colonel, following more than 26 years as an Air Force civil engineer officer where he held multiple command positions and served as a senior policy advisor at the Under Secretary of Defense-level. During Kenny’s career, he was responsible to provide facility life-cycle management, construction services, environmental management and emergency response.
While serving as mayor, he successfully led an effort to implement a municipal economic development authority for the City of Stephenville and established the first-ever life-cycle facility plans for the city-including pavement management, water resource, and capital improvement plans.
His federal, multi-agency experience is extensive, including executive program lead for the Department of Defense’ policy and implementation of joint basing at 12 multi-service installations; senior manager of a life-cycle plan for the Air Force’s 65,000-unit housing inventory; and senior project manager for a $38 million construction program to bed down the first operational F-22 fighter squadron.
Kenny’s work with environmental management is also very broad. Kenny was responsible for multi-media environmental regulatory compliance at 13 major military installations in five states. He paved way for the Department of Defense Fire Academy air and water permits and developed storm water pollution plans for 11 Air Force installations to comply with the Clean Water Act.
Kenny currently serves on several regional and local boards, including the Brazos Region G Water Planning Group and Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas.

Collier Consulting is pleased to announce Brad Cross, Sr. Hydrogeologist, as the newest member of the Collier team. Brad has 35 years of experience in the field of underground injection control, hydrogeologic studies, environmental assessments, and project management.
Brad’s experience at the TCEQ for 15 years spans development rules, regulations, guidelines associated with Underground Injection Control, Public Drinking Water, Waste Management, and Non-Point Source Pollution. He served as a permit writer for Class I and Class V injection well areas and as a program manager for the Class V injection well program. Brad has served as Division Chair for the Ground Water Protection Council (formerly) known as the Underground Injection Practices Council), and has served as a consultant to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Washington, D.C. in development of regulatory guidelines for the 1996 Amendments to the Safe Drinking Water Act.

Our Colorado office continues to grow with the addition of Jim Pfeiffer to our geophysicists’ team. Jim has over 23 years of experience in project management, planning, implementation, and interpretation of geophysical surveys
Throughout his career, Mr. Pfeiffer has successfully performed hundreds of geophysical surveys for clients in the government and private sectors. Jim has designed and presented geophysical training workshops for state DOTs and FHWA. He is an active member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, the Denver Geophysical Society , and the Environmental and Engineering Geophysical Society (EEGS). Mr. Pfeiffer is a registered professional geophysicist in the state of California and a registered geoscientist in the state of Louisiana. Collier Geophysics is excited to announce our expansion into Tennessee. Senior Geophysicist, William E. Doll (Bill) has joined the Collier team to develop and offer technical support to government clients across the US. Bill has over 30 years of experience supporting environmental programs using seismic, airborne gravity, GPR, electrical and electromagnetic methods.
His background includes operating airborne magnetic and electromagnetic systems for mapping and detection of unexploded ordinance for DoD and other clients. The 2019 ASR for Texas! Seminar was held at the LCRA Redbud Center in Austin on May 1. This one-day seminar was filled with informative presentations, interactive panel discussions, and some really good Q&A from the audience. A number of attendees also opted for the tour of SAWS ASR and brackish desal facility on May 2. (scroll down for photo gallery)
What Was Learned: A growing number of Texas water suppliers are looking at ASR as a drought resilient water management technology. New projects are in the works. Rules and regulations are changing and new legislation is expected. Lessons can be learned from Florida. And ASR makes sense for much of Texas!
